Timeshare weeks are now available to own in two different ways. You can take a long agreement and pay an annual maintenance fee, which can be paid in full, in January, paid quarterly or paid by monthly standing order. Alternatively you can purchase a 10 year agreement with no annual charges.
These weeks are owned on an ‘in perpetuity’ contract running until the end of 2064. You pay the purchase price plus a £175 administration fee upfront, and then an annual maintenance charge each year. The charge is set by the Board each year and compares very favourably indeed with that of other UK timeshare resorts. For 2019 the maintenance fees are £508.16 for a sleep six apartment and £508.16 for a sleep four. The annual maintenance charge allows the Club to undertake a rolling programme of investment in the upkeep and refurbishment of each apartment as well as maintaining the extensive grounds and exclusive use leisure facilities.
In perpetuity weeks provide a long term holiday option, and can be re-sold at a later date, or bequeathed to your family in the fullness of time. The club has recently introduced a successful exit strategy for members who no longer wish to retain their ownership.
The freehold of the building and land occupied by the club, is owned by and held in trust for, the owners of the in perpetuity weeks until 2064, when the members will vote to determine whether to sell the property or to set up a new timeshare period. This interest in the freehold is an unusual benefit, not generally available to owners of timeshare weeks /points.
A simple arrangement between you and Kingswear Park Club, whereby you purchase the right to occupy a particular apartment , on a specific week, each year for ten years, at a one off cost. There are no annual fees and at the end of the ten year period, you have the option of simply walking away, or should you wish to, purchasing another term, to suit your needs.
You can still choose to use, rent, or exchange your week throughout your ownership term. Many owners choose to become members of one of the UK / international exchange organisations, opening the door to a world of possibilities.
